Really cool concept, and the retro theme is also great. It is hard, but I think that's to be expected in a "hard as nails platformer" Great job and amazing it was made in only 48 hours!!!!

Pretty nice! Very original, stylish concept and executed superbly. Just one Q tho... how did you get outbound links to work? Whenever I mix Ruffle and getURL in as2, the link takes over the whole page...
Fun and dripping with style. I liked how you introduced new gameplay elements as the levels progressed to keep interest up on what, might have been, a kind of "casual, watch the action play out" kind of game. I made it to Tulsa and died twice... will prob come back later to try for Seattle :-)
My only criticism is that the explosion sprite looked a little phoned in, but that is a very MINOR criticism!
Edit: I'm referring to the explosion when you hit one of the drones in the factory. Looks like it might have been carried over from the small-size on the battle field, but looks blocky/unfinished when enlarged?
Ah are you thinking of the explosion when a car explodes in the factory? It's smaller than the larger vehicles which I should try tinkering with... I get worried about causing more slowdown with it too though but would probably be fine.
Very cool concept!
Awesome concept and the intuitive "tutorial" based on gameplay was refreshing. I really want to see a boss battle based on this idea now...
About half of these need to be made into t-shirts... I'm blown away with the awesomeness. It's a really good example of the secret-sauce behind the phenomenon known as "Newgrounds."
<3'd it (as usual)! Is this release related to the release on mobile? Thanks you for the obvious amounts of love you put into this.
Yep! World 4 is the online release of Super Fancy Pants, like World 3 was the online version of tFPA on consoles. It's just big enough that I think breaking it into parts makes sense.
I had the thought about that "feed the wolf you want" anecdote the other day that it's more about befriending and understanding both wolves. Now you've gone and made this an summed it up perfectly. Love it!
Now that I know who Taako is, this makes a lot more sense!
context is important
So many times, it happens too fast...you trade your passion for glory. Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past, you must fight just to keep them alive.
