Luis and I have been working on an epic game on and off for the last few months. It's finally almost done! We hope to release it tomorrow...ultimate NG tribute.

A good friend and contributor to BoMToons.com has the chance of a lifetime offered by YouTube.
YouTube is holding the first completely online-based musical competition with the winners being sent to play in Carnegie Hall! For a musician this is an outstanding opportunity.
Ben Chan is one of the best young violinists in the world and needs your support by viewing and voting 5 stars on his audition video.
Please check it out and vote 5 stars if you think it's worthy!

Wow, its so cool to see our flashes "Castle Crashing the Beard" and "Pico Blast" up there with the other nominees. Of course I clearly don't stand a chance at winning when put against masterpieces such as Aether and Fancy Pants 2. Still, the nomination alone is more than enough of an honour.
I have to say that this has filled me with motivation to make incredible flash this year. I want my next big flash project, if nominated, to be something I consider worthy of being judged alongside the other entries. I'm gonna work my buns off to try and make something truly epic (maybe the ultimate 8-bit tribute?)
Anyways, thanks to newgrounds for the nomination, and I have to say its hard for me to narrow that list down to even 5, I have no idea how the panel is going to manage. 2008 was a phenomenal year for flash, and I'm glad to have been a part of it all.
Here's a game over screen I made for something with jmtb02. I find game over screens a good way to get in touch with my more macabre side.

It's been a while since I've made a news post, life is busy.
Here's a short note on something cool I came up with for an upcoming game with Luis:
I have a certain part of the game looking to a text file stored on my site for some variables and such that then determine what's displayed in that section. Basically it's a way I can keep updating that section of the game even after it's been stolen from NG and spread all over the web, thus providing players with regularly updated new game content post-game-release. It works on a similar principle as the NG FlashAPI but is not nearly as complex and is customized to my specific needs. The idea will also make use of NG user-pages to let players participate in the regular updates.
This is probably not a new idea, but I haven't seen it in many flash games that weren't full-on multiplayer and hopefully it extends the "virtual shelf-life" and face time of this particular game.
Sorry for the vague generalities, more details to follow when the game is released sometime this month (hopefully).
EDIT: Here's what it's like for Luis and me to work together (especially the teaching me to dance part) -

Hmm, I dunno ... don't ask me ... Just make games I guess? Yeah, that must be it. Make games.
Anyway, I got my NG calendar last week. It came out really well. I recommend it; every single person I've talked to who ordered one has been extremely pleased with it.
Mine sits on my work-station wall waiting for January to roll around.
