Tweenimation

Your stuff all suffers from the same flaw... lack of animation...I think you're afraid to try real animating tactics, ie: redrawing things to infer movement. This could have been really good because you know how to storyboard scenes...but things sliding across the screen do not a good animation make.

I went through the same thing when I first started animating (you can see it in my older stuff), but it's time to take your skills to the next level.

Also, there are some visual glitches like the stage showing through around the edges...it kinda ruins the magic when I see that because it reminds me of the creation process rather than letting me be immersed in the story...it's kind of a rookie mistake.

In addition, the use of audio and character design from the animated series indicates a lack of creativity...you should try coming up with your own designs and use some audio from the audio portal because I think you have the talent to make something really special...I think existing superheroes as subject matter is fine, but try doing your own concept art...don't be afraid to experiment!

Gus-Saldanha responds:

I am surprise you don't mention the fact I'm using traditional fbf animation for the bat when flying, in batman's face, in batman's cape when flying, in the tumbler's tires. Maybe you just didn't noticed, and maybe that's a good thing, cuz it means i was very precise in my fbf animation. I really see the tweening option as a wonderful tool that makes animation so precise and even rythmical, and it gives you good control of your objects in the scene. I think is a great option, and I'm not against traditional fbf animation, but I don't see it as the only alternative. Again, I've used a combination of both here. Both, and you don't seem to see it.

Congratulations on taking your skills to the next level. Im sure u are a legend here on Newgrounds, although I never heard about you.

U see stage around the edges? WOW, man I'm surprised you actually tell me that's something that ruins magic and that stuff, cuz if I see something like that, I really don't pay attention cuz Im focusing on the movie. I'm not looking for glitches and errors like a fox searching for food just like you seem to do. I wanna apologiz thought with my fans and viewers for ruining magical moments because of a one-pixel wide line... somewhere... That won't happen again.

Lack of creativity cuz I use character designs from an animated series? Would you please PLEASE tell me what animated series do the Batman and Manbat design from this movie look like? Please tell me, cuz from what I know, the Batmans from the latest animated series are short eared, big faced, and blue and gray. Im using something more like a Chris Nolan Batman, or maybe a very dark comics Batman, and that's because its a tribute, because it's a character thats not mine, and I'm respecting and exploiting the best details from Batman: Darkness, menacing look, bat-like forms, etc etc. All because I consider myself a true Batman fan.

Audio from the portal? Lack of creativity because I dont use other audio than this??? Man you sound like you're just looking for any little thing it occurs to you just to make up a destructive critique. I loooove orchestral music, and I loooooove Batman Begins OST, and it's just what any Batman movie needs, and also, I don't have any money, or any resources to build up an orchestra in a studio and record this kinda music that Batman and any Batman animated movie deserves. Yeah, perhaps I don't have neither the knowledge, or the creativity to compose orchestral soundtrack-like music for a Batman movie, but I think I made a great great choice of music for this movie.

Thankyou very much.

I liked it

It made me laugh heartily, great job.

Surreal

Awesome, I loved the line work, and much of the animation was superb. I'd like to be a fly on the wall while you animate.

Curly Hair

I'm much buffer in real life.

Kart-Man responds:

Prove it. :P

It was ok.

I honestly think it was just ok. Graphics were a bit sub-par, though some nice frame by frame stuff at moments. Pretty generic music and sound effects. Humor, was not that original. Menus and fonts were poorly chosen or possibly not embedded correctly and the design overall was not polished.

Would have been a good flash 3 years ago, but now we expect a higher level of polish.

I knew it

I watched the movie without looking at who the author was, but by the end I was convinced it was a Jeff Bandelin...I didn't glean this info from the factors your might normally think...it was the v-cam! I knew it by the V-CAM!

yeah you got me pinned

Nice Job!

This was worth the wait...it was very well done and as long as a real tv show! I enjoyed the "Big" reference immensely.

Great work guys!

This was great. I absolutely love how you stayed true to the rules laid down at the start. Really neat to see how creative people can get with such constraints.

I'm also glad you took some of the BBS menu advice to heart.

Great job!

Oh you guys...

You so cuh-ray-zee!

Well, I know how you feel trying to find a way to turn stuff out regularly and on a budget and, while this method is not exactly original, you pulled it off well and I thought it was really funny. Good work.

Now you just need some annoying background loop to really burn it into peoples' minds.

So many times, it happens too fast...you trade your passion for glory. Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past, you must fight just to keep them alive.
