Back in the Game Dev Saddle

Posted by BoMToons - November 21st, 2016

I made it to my first long-ish school vacation break! Thanksgiving week! Woo!

To celebrate, I made a video about everything my students have been working on for the past 3 months:

With the vacation time I'm picking things back up with http://www.bossclash.com and lemme tell ya, it feels GREAT to be doing my own game development stuff again!

Here are some anims:

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

Much appreciated, keep up the good work both here and irl!

I'll keep on truckin'!

I'm going to be studying for finals and finishing papers DX

Enjoy your break!

Noice!

I'm with @Saminat, writing reports and finding jobs to apply to. I got a masters to put this off for a few years, but now I'm back at that point.

You have your masters?

Amazing! You seem like a really cool teacher! I didn't know that you teach. Super impressed, actually inspired.

Just started teaching, almost done with first semester :-)

Graduating in May, so I can't put off the job search anymore. Just watched the video, and wow dude seems like you're doing what you enjoy, besides working on your own games haha

The only thing that bugs me is not having time for my own stuff, so trying to use vacation time to the max. Cool you're getting your masters... my pay would go up a good chunk if I did so too, but it's expensive and would take me a long time while still working...

I was able to get my masters paid. Online masters are growing and are cheaper overall. Still expensive and would take a while, though.

How did you get yours paid for? Through your work? What kind of job? What kind of masters?

I applied for a fellowship and was able to get it. Masters of mechanical engineering. No idea for the job...

Awesome, I should look into fellowships perhaps!

Well, what am I doing? Nothing, really, since we don't have it here.
Am getting close to that sweet end of college though. Am gonna miss some people, not so much others, but it has been a lot of fun.
Hooray for unnecessary exposition!
Awesome work though, keep jammin'.

You too! Reach the goal line!
