Life:
The Flexicade Kickstarter is close to being born. I got together with my best bud Matt this week and we worked around the clock to build the "Mark 3" version of the Flexicade cabinet. It turned out really well and looks better than most arcade cabinets you see in public these days. Plus, it's 4 PLAYER!

Check out this album of pics from the build!

Big thanks to Luis for the Chibi Knight marquee and side art.

I got lots of photos and film footage to edit together a Kickstarter video. Stay tuned!

Death:
Roger Ebert passed away. He was an advocate for movies and games as legitimate art forms.

If you have a sec, do the following:
1. Sign up for the Flexicade alerts list at the top of our site if you want to be notified when we launch the Kickstarter.
2. "Like" us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/FlexiCade

4. Admire this photo of my friend Matt, the engineer behind FlexiCade :-)

Oh man how I want to build one of these bad boys someday.

I need a good game for arcade style first though :P

The FlexiCade supports consoles, PC, Mac, etc. so you can play flash games on it, you can also use emulators like MAME to play olskool games like TMNT, Simpsons, X-Men, etc.

One day when I'm rich and famous, I'm totally going to trick out my house with a few arcade cabinets! Ooooh yeah!

I hope at least one of them will be a FlexiCade! (TM) <---- :-P

The arcade looks awesome! Got a MAME project of myself going on but in 5 years all I did was gut it...so yeah, that's going nowhere. I bet these would be a fortune to ship to Europe?

Yeah, we still need to figure out shipping costs... but it might double the total cost to ship it that far ha ha.

This is the way to go though for a DIY project, it goes together like a piece of IKEA furniture.

hot damn thats alot of buttons, I do love the desktop configuiration. Its pretty awesome how it can be broken apart for transport.

Ha ha, yeah, wiring up all those buttons was a lot of fun, but it feels great to stand there and push a button and see the "coins" add to the game.

We need to add more pics of the assembly and disassembly process to show how easy it really is.

I was talking more about creating my own game that works well with arcade style play ;)

Haven't made one yet but hopefully soon..

Dude, go for it!

wolverine is the new chibi knight

EASTER EGG!

Awesome. I'll do #1, just did #4, don't use #2/3.

Sweet action yo!
