One week until my first triathlon, the Vineman. Swim 400 meters, bike 9 miles, run 5k (3.1 miles).
I tested out my wetsuit today for the 1st time, in a local FREEZING cold lake. I'm mostly scared of the swim, I really suck at swimming...especially in open water.
Looking forward to going to Philly for Pico Day.
Swimming got me in touch with the Kevin Bacon day joke I did with Luis.
As long as you don't get attacked by a Narwhal, I think you'll do alright. Just keep your eyes peeled, because triathalon participants are the natural enemy of Narwhals. :O
I know, I bought some special anti-narwhal cream just for this occasion.
I'm scared of swimming in an open body of water and seeing you in your swimsuit charging at me.

That sounds sick! I would totally want to do that sort of thing. Open water for 400m does sound pretty daunting I won't lie but as long as you keep a steady pace you should be good to get through it. Also, those last 2km running will probably feel like death but I wish you the best of luck :)
