First Century!

Posted by BoMToons - March 31st, 2009

Well, I'm proud of myself. I rode my 1st 100 mile bike race on Saturday.

It was the Tour De St. George and it was a lot of fun (and grueling, mind numbing hard work). My first century in my training for the LOTOJA in September.

You'll remember I weighed 238 lbs 6 months ago and am now down to 186 :)

Stats:
13.9 mph average speed
38.7 mph top speed
7 hrs 7 mins 49 seconds
104 miles

First Century!

Matt-likes-swords has a new beta for his RPG! CHECK IT OUT! IT'S UBER PIOMP!

Nice bike :3

Congrat's! You should get Clip-In's for your bike. They make a HUGE difference.

You should come in and do the MS-Ride with us. (150-miles over 2-days) Lots of fun and its for a good cause. :)

I plan to invest in the clip ins as soon as I have to courage to embarrass myself with all the falling over.

Tell me when and where and I'll see if I can make it...especially if I get an AG jersey!

nice,

so wait, a 100 mile race spanned 104 miles?

Yeah, crazy isn't it? At mile 100 I was like "where the HECK is the finish line?!"

good job on losing so much weight!

thanks!

Congrats, bro.

grats then

wow, you look hot.

*blush*

Nice to see your in good shape and healthy! : )

Congrats man. I've never weighed more than 190 (6'1"), but I was getting a little soft so I started working out, and even losing about 15lbs of body fat is extremely rewarding. I can only imagine what a confidence boost I'd have if I lost 62lbs, especially in that small amount of time (if I needed to lose weight, not drop from 190 to 128. I'd die.)

I remember when I stopped biking after I moved away from where my friends lived and then got a car... BIKING IS STILL ALIVE, YARRR

Losing that much weight is really impressive! Congrats! :D

Super job! And your bike is so lovely, you made a great choice :).

thanks, I'm in love with it :)

Congrats on the extreme fitness and finishing the race! That's an insane amount of biking!!!

Thanks and congrats to you on your son!

Good Job Man
I've recently lost alot of weight too.
I'm about 6.2 170 pounds
I was like 5.8 190 pounds
So yah I managed to get taller and thinner in a year.
I was wondering how tall are you??
The Way I lost the weight is these walks from city to city my friends were doing when I was in mexico. That shit takes a lot out of probably not as much 104 miles on a bike though.

Gaining height is a great way to lose weight!

Also awesome job on losing all that weight man
keep it up

it is my dream to attempt the Hawaii Triathlon.

Then maybe try for Ninja Warrior!

Hawaii is supposed to be pretty hard, good luck!

I like you better when you were unfit

great. good looking bike if i do say so myself

I agree
