I dunno, it seems that everyone is jumping on the Kickstarter flash to unity bus. I like your game and would love to see a fuller, bigger, better version.

Alas, most kickstarters seem to get their edge from being unique or different with mechanics --already done -- and then saying the money is for time and assets. So, if you feel you can offer $X0,000 in something refreshing, then go for it! :D Otherwise, good luck haha.

For the record, I think that your rhythm + battle is wonderful. I always liked rhythm game as attack ideas and think you do it well, so I would back it.

Thanks for the note. I think the rhythm battle thing is a fairly unique mechanic, so maybe it would work?

I know everyone is doing a kickstarter these days, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea... just popular!

Glad to hear you'd back it, we'll see what happens.

I don't think I'd be that excited for this, to be honest with you. Now, Portal Defenders 2 on the other hand...

Fair enough. Thanks for being honest with me!

Yeah, that sounds pretty awesome!
Might I suggest a sort of combo-mechanic? If you are able to perform several attacks after eachother, you get access to more flashy and damaging ones or something like that? Maybe even an RPG Mechanic so you can unlock different moves?
But I'm just thinking out loud, either way, I'd support this.

Awesome ideas. We're planning to do something similar with the moves system so it will feel more expansive like an RPG.

As much as I would like to, I would probably not support it simply because I don't have pay pal account or credit card. However I would be glad to spread the word about the game. I liked the game and would love to see the bigger better version. And if you are going to do the kickstarter thing, be prepared to hear one question over and over and over again: "Will you release it on OUYA?" :P

Interesting insight. I guess we could do an OUYA port eventually. It can't be that hard right? :-P

i will not support it since im broke and don't own a frikken phone

Pretty good reasons there :-D

A lot of headaches await you. Good luck!

Ha ha, the voice of experience! Thanks for the well wishes!

Because of Chibi Knight, I'd back about five bucks.

I don't own an iPhone or any of that jazz so I wouldn'e be able to play it or anything, but I still owe you for the enjoyment I got outta Chibi Knight.

Ha ha, that's a new one to me, glad you enjoyed Chibi Knight THAT much!

I wouldn't back it, but I'd buy it.

I think a pre-order would probably be one of the backing options.

Its actually an interesting idea and I could see it being fairly popular (with new game play art). Based on what I see above I wouldn't be willing to pledge. But with the right kickstarter video and new art im sure you could definitely get the funding.

On the other hand I would like to see something new by you. (adventure, rpg some epic adventure) I would be willing to pledge then. Honestly doing a kickstarter to create a game you already made in Unity seems like a ploy to make some quick money. I think the best road is a completely new/original title to really get fans excited about. (and yourself)

I want to do this one because it's a novel gameplay concept that never was fully fleshed out to its full potential. Most everyone who's played it really liked the idea, but wanted MOAR.

Doing another RPG, ironically, wouldn't be as original as fleshing out this more interesting gameplay concept.

Your thoughts are good ones though, a lot of the success of this will depend on how excited I am about this personally.

Thanks!

You definitely have solid code, and you make really fun games. But.. and now don't take this personally.

But I can't stand your art style. your 15 point pen thickness drives me up the wall, and find totally unappealing. TO ME.. and there's tons of people who cant stand my sloppy style, so this is just a personal preference.. If you got another artist on board maybe, I'd donate.

Ha ha, I can see that.

Even personally, looking back on that game and the screenshot I posted above, my style offends me. I think I've improved and tightened up my style a lot recently and refined my sense of line weights.

The scope of what I want to do with this game will definitely require the involvement of other artists though.

Thanks for the honest feedback, I don't take it TOO personally and want to make this thing as top-notch as possible.

The game is... Intetesting... But not a whole lot of people are into that kind of game.

on-topic: I personally wouldn't be interested, even though I did enjoy the game.
off-topic: I just noticed that there was some stuff under your user-created stuff on your userpage for Madness Premeditation. Was there originally going to be an option for making user-created content that was scrapped, or did it simply help the development process? Just curious about things like that. :3
