i remember playing a game like that, cept it was megaman and i think you only had a choice of about 1/2 the bosses in the game, then you can fight the other half, and you get their poweres which you can use against the other posses, then you fight...robot nick or eggman i forget whitch one.
i think this was turn based though.
I think that's the one I played at the Nickelcade (huge arcade and every game takes nickels instead of quarters). It was action though, not turn-based.
